Biocarbon-coated LiFePO4 nucleus nanoparticles enhancing electrochemical performances

Abstract

We report a simple, inexpensive green biomimetic way for developing the high performance LiFePO4 for high-power lithium-ion batteries. Biocarbon-coated LiFePO4 nucleus nanoparticles are synthesized by using yeast cells as both a structural template and a biocarbon source.
