A facile and efficient strategy for photoelectrochemical detection of cadmium ions based on in situelectrodeposition of CdSe clusters on TiO2 nanotubes

Abstract

An efficient protocol for selective and sensitive detection of Cd2+ was first developed based on photocurrents obtained at CdSe clusters which are in situ electrodeposited on TiO2 nanotubes with the gradual addition of Cd2+, with theoretical and technical simplicity, and further successfully applied to an assay of Cd2+ in tap and lake water samples.
