The first example of metallocene-like coordination mode of THBQ4−: A mixed-valence heptanucler palladium complex [Pd7(THBQ)2(tben)6](PF6)4

Abstract

The title compound adopts a structure reminiscent of metallocene analogues, in which two disk-like units [PdII3(THBQ)(tben)3]2+ bind to one naked Pd0 metal in a sandwich form through each C6O64− (THBQ4−) ring with an η6-binding fashion.
