A neutral self-assembled coordination cage organized for inclusion of aromatic guests

Abstract

Jahn–Teller distorted Cu2+ centers, axially ligated by RSO3 groups, act as spacers to form a cage molecule with ligands organized at a distance well-suited for inclusion of aromatics.
