Synthesis of a β-diiminate iridium tetrahydride for arene C–H bond activation

Abstract

The preparation of the iridium tetrahydride (iPrBDI)IrH4 {BDI = ArNC(Me)CH(Me)CNAr, Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3} and its activity in the catalytic C–H activation of arenes is described.
