Interfacial polymerisation of anilinium at Langmuir monolayers

Abstract

Anilinium is strongly adsorbed at monolayers of the phospholipid L-α-dimyristoylphosphatidic acid (DMPA) and hexadecanesulfonic acid (HDSA) at the air–water interface, and undergoes chemical polymerisation under conditions where bulk polymerisation does not occur.
