Abstract
Alkyl chlorides R–Cl are dehalogenated by HSiMe2Ph in the presence of catalytic amounts of the complex [(κ2-P,N)-Ph2PCH2CH2NMe2]PtMeCl to give R–H and ClSiMe2Ph.
