Liposome made of imidazolyl-substituted porphyrin as a single component

Abstract

5,15-Bis(imidazol-4-yl)-10,20-bis(ω-carboxyalkyloxyphen yl)porphyrin 2 was assembled in water to form liposomal dispersions, whose structure were confirmed by DLS, AFM, TEM measurements as well as entrapment of a hydrophilic fluorescent probe.
