Abstract

Solvothermal reaction of K2M′Cl4 (M′ = Pd, Pt) with pyridine dicarboxylate and excess base produces isostructural coordination solids in which ‘complex ligands’ containing palladium or platinum coordinate to metal hydroxide chains.
