Photoelectron transfer from excited-state ruthenium(ii) tris(bipyridyl) to methylviologen in an ionic liquid

Abstract

The temperature dependence of bimolecular rate constant and product cage escape yields for the photoelectron transfer reaction between [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and MV2+ in the ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate is reported.
