A highly coupled RuIII–RuII system incorporating sulfur donor ligands

Abstract

Bimetallic complex 1, which is based on a RuII metal centre incorporating sulfur donor ligands, shows strong intermetallic coupling in its mixed valence state comparable to those observed in complexes incorporating conventional nitrogen donors.
