Azaheteroalkene metathesis: reaction of imines with molybdenum(vi) bis(imide) complexes

Abstract

Bis(imide) complexes (dme)Cl 2 Mo([double bond, length as m-dash]NR) 2 (R = Bu t , C 6 H 3 Pr i 2 -2,6) and (Bu t O) 2 Mo([double bond, length as m-dash]NAr) 2 (Ar = C 6 H 3 Pr i 2 -2,6) undergo imide/imine metathesis with PhN[double bond, length as m-dash]CH(Bu t ) or (Pr n )N[double bond, length as m-dash]CHPh.
