1,2-N,N-Dimethylaminomethylferrocenyl as a ligand towards titanium and vanadium
Abstract
Organometallic complexes of titanium(IV) and vanadium(III) containing monodentate and bidentate 1,2-N,N-dimethyl- aminomethylferrocenyl (L–) are synthesised and unequivocally characterised, some by crystal structure analysis; in addition, in one titanium derivative, L– generates a novel tridentate ligand by intramolecular C–H activation of a methyl substituent on the tertiary amino group.
