Observation of large solvent effects on the 31p shielding tensor of a cyclic nucleotide

Abstract

High-resolution 31P solid-state NMR measurements on frozen solutions of a cyclic nucleotide (adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate, sodium salt) provide the 31P shielding tensor and reveal that the chemical shift has a significant dependence upon hydrogen bonding.
