Stereochemical effects on monolayer formation of racemic and enantiomeric [Ru(dpp)3]2+(dpp = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline) at an air–water interface

Abstract

Monolayer formation at an air–water interface is compared between enantiomeric and racemic [Ru(dpp)3]2+(dpp = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline), leading to the conclusion that the racemic mixture forms a more compact monolayer than the enantiomer.
