A novel high-nuclearity rhodium carbonyl cluster compound containing two interstitial nitrogen atoms: synthesis and X-ray structure of the anion [Rh14N2(CO)25]2–
Abstract
The novel anion [Rh14N2(CO)25]2–, obtained by pyrolysis of [Rh6N(CO)15]–, contains a metal-centred tetradecanuclear metallic polyhedron, with two interstitial nitrogen atoms, both five-connected to rhodium atoms.
