A novel manganese(III) dimes with an extremely long Mn ⋯ Mn distance

Abstract

The X-ray crystal structure of [Mn2(salpd)2(EtOH)3(H2O)](BPh4)2[salpd = propane-1,3-diylbis(salicylideneiminato)] shows it to be a dimes held together by an array of hydrogen bonds; the Mn ⋯ Mn distance is 5.21(1)Å.
