Stereochemical rigidity and geometrical isomerism in nine-co-ordinate complexes of ThIV and UIV in aqueous solution

Abstract

The 1H n.m.r. spectra, in adqueous solution at room temperature, of tris-complexes of ThIV and UIV with an asymmetric tridentate Schiff base ligand show the presence of two isomers, which are assigned to the symmetric and asymmetric forms of a tricapped trigonal prism.
