A rapid procedure for the resolution of racemic gossypol

Abstract

Racemic gossypol has been resolved rapidly and efficiently by h.p.l.c. separation of diastereoisomeric adducts formed with the β-amino alcohol, L-phenylalaninol, on an achiral, reverse-phase C18 column.
