Ligand-induced scission of the metal–metal bond in a bicapped tetracobalt cluster

Abstract

The catalytically active tetracobalt cluster Co4(CO)104-PPh)2 undergoes Co–Co bond cleavage upon ligand substitution with the bidentate F2PN(Me)PF2.
