Generation of a new, stable, and potentially reactive diphoshene: bis[bis(trimethyl-silyl)methyl]diphosphene

Abstract

The reaction of [bis(trimethylsilyl)methyl]trichlorgoermylphosphine(Me3Si)2CH–P(H)GeCl3with 1,5-diaza-bicyclo[5.4.0]undec-5-ene affords the new stable and potentially reactive diphosphene (Me3Si)2–CH-P[double bond, length half m-dash]P–CH(SiMe3)2
