Surprising reactivity of very crowded phosphinic derivatives

Abstract

An example of intramolecular cyclisation of a crowded phosphinic chloride via loss of hydrogen chloride and formation of a phosporus–carbon bond is described; unexpected cleavage of an acyclic phosphorus-carbon bond is also reported.
