Pentaco-ordinate silicon derivatives: 1H n.m.r. evidence

Abstract

The 1H n.m.r. spectra of o-(Me2NCH2)C6H4SiX2R and o-(Me2NCH2)C6H4SiXR1R2 indicate that the intramolecular Si–N co-ordination is controlled by the ability of the Si–X bond to be stretched and substituted with inversion of configuration.
