Difluorotetracyanoquinodimethane: electron affinity cut-off for ‘metallic’ behaviour in a tetrathiafulvalene salt

Abstract

The synthesis and properties of 2,5-difluorotetracyanoquinodimethane and its tetrathiafulvalene salt whose electrical conductivity is limited by the enhanced acceptor electron affinity are described.
