Stereochemical non-rigidity of tricarbonyl(cyclo-octatetraene)iron as shown by Fourier transform carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance

Abstract

The fluxional behaviour of C8H8Fe(CO)3 was investigated by 13C-n.m.r. spectroscopy; the results obtained by 1H-n.m.r. were confirmed and a new kind of non rigidity was discovered in the carbonyl part of the molecule.
