Novel dehydrogenation of a chromanone to a chromone during a Grignard reaction

Abstract

A novel dehydrogenation of a chromanone to a chromone, to the extent of 12%, occurred when the former was treated with vinylmagnesium bromide under the usual Grignard reaction conditions.
