Relative catalytic abilities of nitrogen and dipolar oxygen bases in chlorobenzene

Abstract

The enhanced catalytic abilities of dipolar oxygen bases relative to nitrogen bases in two general base catalysed reactions in chlorobenzene is reported and its possible relevance to enzyme reactions is indicated.
