A reinvestigation of the thermal decomposition of (C5H5)2 TiPh2

Abstract

The formation of benzene during the thermal decomposition of (C5H5)2TiPh2 in hydrocarbon solvents is shown to be the results of a phenyl group abstracting a proton from another co-ordinated group on the titanium complex.
