Simultaneous determination of cadmium, indium and tin in standard reference materials using sub-stoicheiometric extraction of indium radioisotopes

Abstract

The simultaneous determination of cadmium, indium and tin in standard reference materials has been carried out by sub-stoicheiometric extraction of indium radioisotopes; 115Inm, 114Inm and 113Inm are used for the determination of cadmium, indium and tin, respectively. The analytical results for cadmium, indium and tin in National Bureau of Standards (NBS) standard reference materials were in good agreement with the certified and reported values. The sub-stoicheiometric extraction of indium, followed by gamma-ray measurement of three indium radioisotopes, has been shown to be a simple and rapid method for the simultaneous determination of cadmium, indium and tin.
