The concentration, detection and identification of late gas-chromatographic peaks

Abstract

An apparatus, based on the Pye 104 series of chromatographs, is described for concentrating and subsequently either determining or trapping for spectroscopic examination trace impurities that emerge after the main peak in the chromatogram. The lowest detectable concentration of a component is determined only by the amount of sample or apparatus time, or both, available for the analysis.
