Ionic polymer with cooperative CO2 adsorption and catalytic sites for efficient CO2 cycloaddition
Abstract
A series of bifunctional ionic polymers were prepared, integrating spatially proximal CO2 adsorption sites (protonic ionic moieties) and catalytic sites (Br−) thereby enabling simultaneous CO2 enrichment and activation. This structural synergy endows the materials with outstanding catalytic activity for the cycloaddition of CO2 with diverse epoxides under mild, solvent-free, and co-catalyst-free conditions.
