Development and applications of heterogeneous chiral bifunctional alkaloid-thioureas as recyclable organocatalysts

Abstract

The development of heterogeneous chiral catalysts is a growing research field, offering recyclable alternatives to their homogeneous counterparts. With the aim of identifying a general and reliable methodology to access highly recyclable catalysts, herein, a structure–activity relationship study of chiral base-thiourea bifunctional catalysts is reported. The solid-supported catalysts have been benchmarked using well-known model reactions, allowing recycling of the catalyst up to 15 times without a decrease in the chiral induction properties.
