Selective cell labeling through enzyme-mediated click reactions

Abstract

Selective cell labeling is key to understanding life processes. Here, we report an enzyme-mediated click reaction for selective cell labeling. Overexpressed alkaline phosphatase on target cells converts phosphorylated ascorbic acid, reducing Cu(II) to Cu(I), thereby catalyzing the click reaction for precise labeling.
