Regulating thermal expansion in the iron sulfide anode for stable sodium storage

Abstract

A Ho2Fe17 alloy, with thermal volume contraction and excellent electronic/thermal conductivity, is introduced into an Fe7S8-based anode material. The decreased internal temperature and improved structural stability of the battery result in an enhanced sodium storage capacity and long-term cycling stability.
