Abstract

A europium–nickel nanocluster probe (Eu-NiCs) was engineered via valence-programmable synthesis for selective Sr2+ detection. This one-step hydrothermal design achieves unmatched selectivity (Sr2+/Ba2+ = 14.7) and a 2.1 μg g−1 detection limit.
