Nickel(0)-catalyzed ring-opening reaction of silacyclobutanes with 1,3-dienes to access allylsilane

Abstract

Here we report a Ni-catalyzed highly regio- and stereoselective ring opening reaction of SCBs with 1,3-dienes for a straightforward and facile preparation of allylsilanes. This chemistry involves the cleavage and reconstruction of Si–C bonds and provides a versatile approach for the construction of novel longer chain allylsilanes. Operationally simple conditions, wide substrate scope, readily available materials, versatile transformation of the product, and high atom economy make this protocol attractive.
