The recoverable isatin resin as a ligand for copper-type Ullmann CN coupling reaction

Abstract

The immobilization of isatin onto chloromethylated polystyrene resin as an efficient and recyclable ligand for promoting copper-catalyzed CN coupling reactions was performed. With this ligand, a series of CN coupling products between aryl halides and amines were synthesized in high yields under mild conditions, and the ligand showed good substrate adaptability. The ligand is easy to recover and reuse without significantly reducing its catalytic activity. Therefore, many important organic structural units can be synthesized using this ligand in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields.
