2,6-Bis(1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine ruthenium(ii) complex embedded porous organic polymers as efficient photocatalysts for organic transformations†
Abstract
Due to the rapid progress of transition metal photocatalysis, developing novel and effective ruthenium photocatalysts and their corresponding heterogeneous counterparts is highly in demand. In this study, we first prepared tetraiodo-substituted 2,6-bis(1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine ruthenium(II), and further used this complex to construct 2,6-bis(1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine ruthenium(II) embedded porous organic polymers (POP-Ru). The as-prepared Ru(II) complex was employed as a photocatalyst, which showed higher photocatalytic activity than those of the commercial Ru(II) counterparts, but lower than that of the corresponding polymers. In particular, the polymer POP-Ru-1 has been disclosed to be highly efficient for the photosyntheses of thiocarbomates and disulfides, exhibiting a broad substrate scope. After simple separation workups, the photocatalyst could be recycled and reused for 10 times without obvious loss of its catalytic activity.
