Denitrative Mizoroki–Heck reaction of unactivated alkenes

Abstract

A general palladium-catalyzed denitrative Mizoroki–Heck reaction of unactivated alkenes was developed. Most topical classes of nitroarenes efficiently react with various unactivated alkenes with high E/Z selectivity. A gram-scale reaction, chemoselective dual Heck transformation and modification of complex molecules have further demonstrated that the denitrative reaction of unactivated alkenes is a powerful complementary strategy to the classical Mizoroki–Heck reaction.
