A bis-dianionic β-ketoiminato octalithium complex as a universal catalyst for hydroboration with broad scope

Abstract

A readily accessible bis-dianionic β-ketoiminato octalithium complex was found to be a versatile catalyst for the hydroboration of a wide range of unsaturated compounds. Chemoselectivity experiments revealed that the current catalytic system follows the reactivity sequence of aldehydes > ketones > imines > esters > nitriles > amides.
