Cesium lead bromide as a colorimetric and fluorometric sensing platform for the selective detection of uric acid†
Abstract
In this work, a simple and sensitive colorimetric fluorescence sensing probe was designed for the detection of uric acid (UA). UA can quench the fluorescence emission of CsPbBr3via hydrogen-bonding interactions. The probe can directly detect UA with an ultralow detection limit of 62.7 ppb and a fast response time of 30 s in a linear range of 0.0031–1.33 μM. The designed sensor displays a gradual color change from green to blue upon conjugation with UA. The applicability of the proposed sensor was also investigated as a paper sensor probe for detecting UA. Further, the method was successfully applied for the detection of UA in human blood serum. This work proposes CsPbBr3 as a novel platform for detecting UA well in clinical diagnosis.
