Useful synthetic pathways to original, stable tunable neutral and anionic phosphorus dendrimers: new opportunities to expand dendrimer space

Abstract

Dendrimers and more specifically neutral, cationic or anionic phosphorus dendrimers are known for their large panel of applications in nano sciences, biology, polymer science, catalysis or for the formation of nanomaterials. Their activity strongly depends on their internal structure and on the nature of their end groups. We report novel multistep synthesis in high yield of original stable and not sensitive to hydrolysis of a variety of neutral or anionic phosphorus dendrimers thus opening new possibilities to use them for various applications including therapeutic applications such as, for instance, cancers, inflammations, tuberculosis as well osteoclasto-genesis domain.
