One-step hydrothermal preparation of bilayer films of NiCo LDH/Pt loaded on nickel foam surface for HER catalytic activity

Abstract

A NiCo layered double hydroxide (LDH) supported on a Pt nanolayer was prepared on Ni foam via a one-step hydrothermal method. The Pt nanolayer modulated conductivity and the electron transfer rate. At the same time, special interface engineering and synergistic effects between the NiCo LDH and the Pt layer further promoted water splitting.
