Palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation of hydrazones with hydroxy-tethered allyl carbonates: synthesis of functionalized hydrazones

Abstract

A palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation of hydroxy-tethered allyl carbonates with hydrazones has been achieved, affording various E configurations of functionalized hydrazones in moderate to excellent yields. The reaction proceeded smoothly under mild reaction conditions without external bases. In particular, the functionalized hydrazones were successfully transformed into biologically interesting pyridazines.
