Quest for extended coordination networks from highly connected azido-bridged clusters

Abstract

Two nets {[Co6(L)61,1,1-N3)6]·H2O}n (1) and {[Co4(L)41,1,1,1-N3)(μ1,1-N3)2]·H+·5H2O}n (2) based on highly connected μ1,1,1 and μ1,1,1 azido-bridged clusters were obtained with nicotinate N-oxide(L) as the co-ligand. Magnetic interactions existed in 1 and 2, and 2 is the first μ1,1,1,1 azido containing net.
