Quantitative evaluation of O2 activation half-reaction for Fe–N–C in oxidase-like activity enhancement

Abstract

The oxidase-like activity of high-performance Fe–N–C was enhanced by up to 55% by using a secondary N-containing precursor in pyrolysis. Moreover, the exploration of the O2 activation half-reaction using electrochemical methods was disclosed to be a practically facile approach to quantitatively evaluate the factors associated with the activity.
