Octamolybdate-based hybrid constructed by flexible bis-triazole ligands: synthesis, photocatalytic and electrochemical properties

Abstract

A new type of polyoxometalate-based organic–inorganic hybrid compound [Co(btrp)2(H2O)2(β-Mo8O26)0.5]·H2O (btrp = 1,3-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propane), termed as 1, was synthesized using [β-Mo8O26]4−, Co cations, and btrp ligands via an in situ hydrothermal reaction. In addition, the electrocatalytic activities and photocatalytic capabilities along with the selectivity of 1 have been investigated.
