Microwave-assisted synthesis of porous organic cages CC3 and CC2

Abstract

The microwave synthesis of two prototypical porous organic cages, denoted as CC3 and CC2, is demonstrated. CC3 crystals displaying a narrow size distribution were synthesized in just a few minutes. The fast synthesis of narrow size distribution POC crystals makes microwave synthesis a highly appealing approach for the synthesis of these crystals.
