Charge transfer-induced O p-band center shift for an enhanced OER performance in LaCoO3 film

Abstract

Distance between O p-band center and the Fermi level, as an OER activity descriptor of perovskite oxides, could be shortened by a charge transfer between a LaCoO3 film and an active layer under the film. With an optimized band structure, the OER activity and the energy conversion efficiency of LaCoO3 were enhanced.
