Self-assembly and Li-ion storage performance of three new Nb/W mixed-addendum polyoxometalates based on the {SiNb3W9O40} clusters and transition-metal cations

Abstract

Three unprecedented Nb/W mixed-addendum polyoxometalates, Cs9K9[(Si4W36Nb12O156)Mn(H2O)2]·41H2O, Cs11K4Na3[(Si4W36Nb12O156)Co(H2O)2]·29H2O, and Cs14K4[(Si4W36Nb12O156)Ni(H2O)2]·41H2O, involving [SiNb3W9O40]7− as the fundamental building unit have been synthesized to be utilized as anode materials for lithium ion batteries (LIBs).
